MINDFUL MESSAGE: Reflected Light on MLK Day

Late last night, I took a picture of my snow-covered backyard. Though it was the middle of the night, it looked almost like daytime—the moon reflecting light off the snow.

On this MLK Day, I’m struck by the reminder that light doesn’t always come from a single blazing source. Sometimes it comes from reflection—when we take the light we’ve received and help amplify it for others.
Dr. King reminded us that darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. And sometimes that light is quiet, steady, and shared.
